Dalvin Cook, a running back for the Minnesota Vikings, was penalised by the NFL last week for throwing a ball into the crowd.
The fine was $7,426 although the most recent information indicates it may be lower by the conclusion of the season.
Tom Pelissero, an NFL source, said that the NFL informed Cook that the punishment will be reduced to $5,941.
