Baltimore running back J.K. Dobbins was devastated to learn that he will require more surgery shortly after being ruled out of Sunday's game against Cleveland on Friday.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Ravens running back will likely be sidelined for the next 4-6 weeks
as he recovers from the arthroscopic procedure needed to treat his ailing knee.
Even though the news for Dobbins is regrettable, many in the NFL have chipped in to express their support for the former Ohio State and Baltimore running back.
"Just brutal news for J.K. Dobbins Hopefully his recovery is a speedy one and he’s able to get back on the field soon. It’s clear how much he loves playing football,"
When compared to earlier injuries this season, more Twitter users, like Pedro Rhormes, expressed sorrow for the Baltimore running back while also having a more positive opinion of
"I feel so bad for J.K. Dobbins. Injuries sucks, but thank God it isn't another torn ligament issue. Perhaps just a cleaning?
Still, hope he can come back better late season. Now we gotta flip the switch to Gus Edwards and prey for a healthy version of him," Rhormes said in a tweet Friday.
Dobbins might perhaps make a comeback later in the season if the 4-6 week recovery period Schefter specified for the running back's surgery goes according to plan.
The Ravens could be reluctant to return Dobbins to play in 2022 given the variety of ailments he has already endured in his brief time in the NFL.
