The Denver Broncos could opt to part ways with Bradley Chubb now that the trade deadline is less than a week away.
If the Broncos lose to the Jaguars in Week 8 as predicted by Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk, they will almost certainly trade for Chubb before the trade deadline.
In the Mile High City, Chubb, a former first-round pick out of NC State, is enjoying a terrific season.
He has accumulated 24 tackles overall, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.
If Chubb isn't going to receive a hefty extension from the Broncos this summer, they may trade him for a group of draught selections.
Recently, Chubb responded to the trade speculations. He's making every effort to ignore them.
"Yeah I heard about them but I’m just focused on trying to help my guys fight through this,” Chubb said, via ProFootballTalk.
"I realise it's a business, so anything might happen, but right now all I care about are my people and trying to turn this thing around."
Chubb has accumulated 168 total tackles, 58 quarterback hits, 26 sacks,
and six forced fumbles since the Broncos selected him in the 2018 NFL Draft.
Chubb could significantly improve a Super Bowl contender's season in the second half.
