After just two games with the organisation, the Houston Texans bid wide receiver Tyler Johnson farewell on Tuesday.
The Texans have released former [Buccaneers] WR Tyler Johnson, according to PFF's Ari Meirov.
He was an intriguing waiver wire possibility on cut-down day, it was noted.
fter 48 receptions, 529 yards, and two touchdowns in Tampa Bay, Johnson failed to register any counting numbers in his two games as a Texan.
In August, the Buccaneers made one of their final cuts, which was particularly difficult for Todd Bowles, who stated:
He can catch the ball and is an excellent pass receiver, making him a very good player.
Johnson has shown some promise, but as of yet he hasn't been able to fully realise it.
But hopefully at his next trip with an NFL team, he'll be able to capitalise on some of that talent.
