In Week 7, the Dallas Cowboys outplayed the Detroit Lions 24-6 thanks to a solid defensive effort.
However, Cowboys cornerback Jourdan Lewis had to leave the game due to a foot injury after recording a late-game interception in Sunday's triumph for Dallas.
Later that day, David Moore of the "Dallas Morning News" reported that Lewis' right foot had suffered a Lisfranc fracture,
and he would probably miss the remainder of the 2022 campaign.
The season of Jourdan Lewis looks to be over, Moore stated on Sunday.
"According to those with knowledge of the situation, the veteran CB's right foot sustained what is thought to be a Lisfranc fracture during the interception.
Lewis' position will now be filled by rookie DaRon Bland."
The interception by LewisHis first game of the 2022 season and eighth overall in the NFL came on Sunday.
DaRon Bland, a rookie selected in the fifth round, is expected to get more playing time as he tries to replace Lewis, as Moore pointed out in his tweet.
The 5-2 Cowboys, who have started the season strong defensively, will play the Chicago Bears in Week 8.
