Cornell Armstrong And Falcons Agree On 1-Year Deal
The Falcons will have cornerback Cornell Armstrong back for another season.
Armstrong has agreed to a one-year contract to stay in Atlanta, according to his agent Brett Tessler. The agreement's other details remained a secret.
Armstrong joined the Falcons' practise squad in the late 2021 season, although he didn't play in any games until the next year. In nine games, he recorded 33 tackles and seven pass
Armstrong was chosen by the Dolphins in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft. He has also played for the Texans.
A.J. Terrell, Casey Hayward, and Dee Alford are the other cornerbacks in Atlanta's group along with Armstrong.
This summer, the team has not yet added any outside players to that group, but they have signed safety Jessie Bates.
Armstrong participated in nine games for the Falcons, starting four of them. According to his agent Brett Tessler, he received numerous offers.
